Meet the Team: Jody Cellar

Jody Cellar hails from the Rocky Mountains and studied at the Colorado School of Mines.  She has a Chemical engineering degree, and minors in Environmental engineering and Latin American culture.

Since her career commenced in water treatment, Jody has been working in the solar salt industry for the past 15 years.

Jody joined the Leichhardt team in May 2021 and is Leichhardt’s Process Engineer leading the process design for the Eramurra Solar Salt Project.  One of her key deliverables has been to develop and maintain a mass balance model of the proposed salt operation, from the seawater intake through to shipment of 99.8% pure sodium chloride. The model defines the projects salt production capacity, and the composition and range of flow rates required for the designs of each unit process throughout the operation.

In her free time, Jody appreciates the abundance her city of Perth has on offer, the arts, community, cooking, dining and travel.
