Leichhardt prides itself on its firm commitment to both its internal and external communities.

This includes all stakeholders, internal and external. From the incorporation of the business in 2016, our focus is providing a project that is a positive force in the community. Leichhardt engages with various entities ranging from sponsorship to support.

Leichhardt’s operations are operated by residential based staff living in the local communities where the operations are located.

The Company will continue to prioritise a local operational workforce, ensuring our operations benefits the local Gascoyne and Karratha communities as much as possible.

The Lake MacLeod Salt and Gypsum Operation is the largest employer in Carnarvon with and Leichhardt is committed to supporting the 130 strong local workforce and communities.

We work in partnership with the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which we operate.

Our Lake MacLeod operations takes place on Baiyungu country and our Eramurra operations take place on Yaburara and Mardudhunera country.

Our partnerships with the Traditional Owners aim to empower local communities and build capacity in the regions around our operations.
